ACS Cobham

MBH Design Studio Ltd. is delighted to have had the opportunity to serve as the Architectural Designers for this project, where our expertise was devoted to overseeing the comprehensive internal alterations and the meticulous fit-out of various spaces, including the open-plan offices, conference room, toilets, and the PAC building. 

Our involvement spanned across the entire spectrum of RIBA stages 2 to 4, where we carefully and thoughtfully led the project from its initial design concepts to the development of detailed plans, ensuring a seamless and successful transformation of the spaces involved.

ACS Cobham – Block J and K 

MBH was entrusted with the task of conceptualizing and designing four brand-new classrooms to be integrated into Blocks J and K within an established school campus. Our responsibilities extended to formulating and submitting Building Regulations, specifically focusing on internal modifications, including the enhancement of life safety systems and fire signage.

In the course of this project, we encountered two primary challenges that demanded our careful attention. Firstly, we had to address the acoustic requirements of the rooms to ensure an optimal learning and teaching environment. Second, the ventilation systems needed to be optimized to create a comfortable and healthy atmosphere within these spaces.

To meet these challenges head-on, MBH collaborated closely with specialists in acoustics and ventilation. This collaboration was instrumental in ensuring that the acoustic environment within these new classrooms was not only conducive to learning but also aligned with their specific functions. Through this joint effort, we were able to achieve a well-balanced and harmonious design that promotes both academic excellence and safety.

MBH's scope of services encompassed several critical stages of the project, ranging from the production of detailed RIBA stage 4 drawings and specifications suitable for the tender process. This comprehensive package included architectural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and ACS Cobham
