I’m a keen road cyclist and skier, often seen in the Surrey Hills or on the slopes of Chatel, with or without my trusty Airedales! In life, you can never have enough bikes, skis, or dogs.

I have a First-Class Honours degree in Building Surveying from London South Bank University. My primary expertise is in the Petrol Filling Station and Electrical Vehicle Charging sector.
When I’m away from the business, I have a passion for golf, health and fitness, rugby and spending time with friends and family.

I’m Julian, the Director at MBH Design Studio Ltd, where I have been employed since 2006. I’ve held many positions at MBH over the years, but my responsibilities are now focused on the growth and the operations of the South African office. My staff are integral to our success and that is where most of my focus lies, ensuring we are delivering quality every time.
Outside of business, I enjoy spending time with my young family, keeping fit and being outdoors with my dogs. Riding my scooter around town keeps me feeling young too.

Since joining the practice, I have worked across a wide range of projects from realising a client’s dream home to a big housing scheme, retail, mixed use development and listed buildings, through to school and leisure projects. Currently I’m overseeing the residential and mixed-use side of projects.
I received my Bachelor of Architecture from India in 2001 and moved to the UK in 2004 to gain international experience. Prior to joining MBH, I accumulated a significant amount of experience in a wide range of design disciplines both in the UK and India.
In 2014 I became a director and am now responsible for the management and supervision of MBH’s satellite office in India, the conception of which was my own innovative idea to help the efficiency of the practice.
Here is my light-hearted take on my spare time interests:

I joined MBH in 2010 from one of the largest construction consultancies in the world where I was an architectural designer for the building surveying teams based in Northwest England.
I became a Director in May 2014.
I am an accomplished Architectural Designer with expertise in design solutions and delivery and a passion for perfection. I’m a specialist in construction detailing, co- ordination, and project management. My experience covers a vast range of sectors including Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Education, Agriculture, Healthcare, Retail, Religious and Hospitality.
I have achieved Chartered Membership from the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists and am also an Affiliate Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects. In May 2014 I became a Director at MBH.
In addition to being a Director, I am also the Practice Manager, responsible for the smooth running of the office and for the development and training of our staff, so that our capability to deliver projects on time and to a high quality is maintained.
My hobbies are travelling and exploring new restaurants and fun places with my son.

I’m a Director at MBH, where I use my 35+ years of experience, to run the Shell Account with my Team and help with many other projects, including other PFS clients, individual developers, and ‘one-off’ specials, along with management responsibilities.
At home I’m married to my lovely wife, with 3 grown up children and 5 grandchildren. All of which keep me busy!
I also enjoy socialising with friends, going to a wide variety of concerts, playing golf and darts, reffing for my football club and walking our dog, Betty. In any ‘spare-time’ we like to fit in some travel & holidays - long / short, weekends and city trips.

I am an Associate Director based in our Surrey office and have over 20 years’ experience of delivering architectural projects. With an eye for detail and keenness to coordinate all design aspects of a project, I enjoy the myriad layers of design and technological challenges with each project and believes in adding value to them.
Together with my expertise of large scale PFS projects and associated EV installations and retail, I’ve overseen many successful projects at MBH, operating within tight timescales and to the satisfaction of clients.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and am a National Trust supporter.

I’m an old-school Architectural and Civils designer involved in building multiple Petrol Filling Stations over the years – an expert in this field. More recently I’m designing in the wonderful world of EV charging hubs.
My weekends are spent supporting my local football club, Woking FC.

Hi, I'm Anusha, an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who manages and helps with the accounts for our EV projects. In addition to my work as a Quantity Surveyor, I run the 'Fun Fact Friday' email campaign, which has become a highlight of the week for many of my colleagues. This campaign allows me to share interesting and entertaining facts with my coworkers to brighten their day and foster a sense of community within the workplace.
When I'm not working, I enjoy playing games, watching anime, and reading. These hobbies keep me energized and inspired, and I'm always on the lookout for new recommendations to explore (so do let me know!). Whether I'm solving puzzles, immersing myself in a new anime series, or diving into a good book, I'm always learning something new.

My name is Ashley Murray. I’m originally from Cape Town, South Africa and now reside in the United Kingdom, working as an Architectural Technician and Project Runner. I’m a husband to a gorgeous wife and father to two beautiful daughters. I am a hoarder according to my wife; however, I call it collecting - 1980’s BMX bicycles, scaled model cars and Music (Hip Hop) is what I am passionate about.
Learning and sharing is a large part of my lifestyle, whereby I am curious to always understand the unknown, and once known I tend to pass on the learnings to colleagues at no extra cost – a Robin Hood of sorts. I am also enthusiastic about Design and always eager to watch how Design becomes a reality, therefore suiting my current role at MBH.

Previously I worked at executive level within two major construction businesses but over the last 2 years of my 40-year career, I have turned my hand to project managing the delivery phase of a Super-Fast Electric Vehicle Charger Roll Out Programme for major fuel retailer, MFG. It is all about delivering our client’s vision with accuracy and pace and I bring energy, commitment, experience, humour, and a little colour to this fast-moving environment. I have delivered over 70 individual projects over the last 2 years and am a key member in our client’s team.
I understand the importance of relationships and am equally comfortable operating at Client Director level as I am with the team delivering on the ground.
My interests include mountain biking, motor racing, outdoor cooking, travelling and football and I also brew cider.

Hi, I am Elisa Scolaro, and I have been part of the MBH team for the last four years.
As an ARB Architect, I am responsible for providing design support at every RIBA stage, ensuring the completion of CAD drawings for feasibility schemes, submission of Planning and Building Regulations applications, and the preparation of technical working drawings and construction information to meet client’s expectation.
I also have the privilege of working alongside senior colleagues in producing health and safety documents, I act as the Principal Designer under CDM 2015.
I am known to deliver projects at a faster pace as I've consistently beaten deadlines and received glowing feedback from our clients and colleagues.
In my spare time, I like spending as much time as possible outdoors, enjoying a drink in pub gardens or going for long walks or a jog, where no building I come across is immune to my day-dreamy thoughts!
I like to consider myself an amateur painter, colour and arts make me feel relaxed, so if it’s a rainy day you know where to find me.
I love travelling and eating typical food, but nothing can’t beat my Italian cuisine.

I'm Elliott, a Project Manager at MBH Ltd. I've been working here since 2022, and I'm responsible for managing EV Charger installation projects from start to finish. I enjoy the challenge of planning and scheduling complex projects.
I started my career as an apprentice Electro-Mechanical Engineer at Heathrow Airport. In that role, I gained valuable experience in Project management, Asset management, and Stakeholder engagement.
I'm excited to continue working on EV Charger projects that will help to make the UK a more sustainable place.
In my spare time, I enjoy rock climbing, motorcycle riding, gaming, and cycling.

I am a Project Manager located in the Glasgow office and responsible for all stages of Northern projects. In my current role I have delivered new-to-industry service stations, EV charging hubs, extensions for food offering, full shop refits and 278 works.
I have a background in industrial/residential construction project management (consultant, client and principal contractor based), manufacturing engineering, facilities management, and finance. I am an enthusiastic, confident and detail orientated individual with a track record of being able to communicate across all levels and who loves a challenge in both work and personal life.
I am a family man who is a qualified ski instructor and enjoys snowboarding and teaching my kids. As an avid fitness enthusiast who enjoys weight training and running, I’ve competed in events from Tough Mudder to local strength events. I love gardening and enjoy audio books and coffee on long morning drives to sites.

Throughout my early years of secondary school, I gained a real intrigue in architecture and CAD. After working at a Steel detailer for 8 months I secured a placement at MBH.
In my free time I enjoy playing football, mountain biking and attending classic car meets.

Hi, my name is Johnny, also known as ‘Little Johnny or JN’. I recently qualified as an Architectural Technologist at London South Bank University. I project manage both MFG and Teamsport Go Karting projects in the UK and in Europe.
When I’m not on site, you will find me exploring the country in a Land Rover Defender and wild camping in a roof tent. From a young age, when I started mountain biking, I’ve always loved the outdoors. More recently I found the love for paddleboarding.

Hi, I’m Rory an Architectural Technician and professional CAD doodler involved with delivering a large number of EV Projects. I work closely with my colleagues in South Africa where I coordinate our workflow to deliver projects accurately and on time.
On the weekend, if I’m not watching F1 you’ll find me racing around a Go-kart track or practicing at home on the simulator, trying to get as fast as possible. My other hobbies include travelling and exploring new places, discovering new cultures, and capturing them with my camera.

I joined MBH early 2021 in the middle of Covid as Financial Controller. I have overall oversight of the day-to-day finances and reporting responsibilities to the Board of Directors and our external accountant. The most rewarding part of my role is producing management accounts and ad hoc insights that inform business strategy and planning and support decision making at board level.
My hobbies include hiking and travel. Highlights have included spending New Year’s Eve weeks after the wall came down in East Berlin with a family I had started chatting with on a train, and experiencing village life and national festivals with families in rural China.

Originally from Cape Town, South Africa having recently relocated to Glasgow, Scotland, I work as a Project Manager to assist with all Northern UK sites. I started with MBH in April 2022 as an Architectural Technician prior to taking the jump and relocating to the UK in April 2023.
I am quite the avid sports fan, mainly rugby and all extreme sports. I am passionate about travelling, experiencing different cultures, environments and am always looking for a new challenge, hence why my hobbies are difficult to specify as they constantly change.

On a personal note, I am happily married to my wife Chanel, and we are proud parents to three wonderful kids—our eldest daughter, Miya, and energetic twin boys, Jordy and Blake. Beyond work life, I am a massive supporter of Newcastle United “howay the lads.” I find peace in spending time at the beach, enjoying my love for bodyboarding and surfing, and, whenever time allows, enjoying a round of golf.

Hey I’m Irfaan. I am a Professional Architect having completed my architectural studies in South Africa at the University of Witwatersrand. Following the completion of my Honours and Masters degrees I completed the SACAP exam to receive my Professional qualifications and registration. My experience ranges in various fields of architecture with a more recent emphasis in the fields of PFS and EV design.
With 10+ years of architectural experience both within South Africa and in the UK, it has allowed me to be well versed with the UK market and provided me with an ideal footing for the next chapter of my career at MBH.
In terms of passions, the love for design has overflowed into me learning other design related fields within my personal life. I have dabbled in graphic, web design, furniture design and construction, as well as video editing. Beyond that I find solace in gardening and spending time with my family.

Hi, my name is Mpho Mudau. I joined MBH Design Studio Ltd in 2021 as an Architectural Technician. When I first joined MBH my work experience was based on Petrol service stations. However, with the various work I have covered so far, I now can add designing Electric Vehicle charging stations under my belt.
Seeing the development of our work through various stages has been an interesting journey and a great learning experience thus far. I am big on learning and experiencing new things, especially something outside of our comfort zones as that pushes us to grow.

I am Nicole Barnard and I started working at MBH in January 2022, as a Senior Architectural Technologist, as part of the Shell team. My responsibilities include all phases of design, Feasibility, Planning, Tender, Construction, and as-built drawings, as well as communicating with various consultants as part of the design process. To date I have fifteen and a half years’ experience in the Petrol Fuel Station field of architecture, of which thirteen of those years spent at the same company I worked for prior to joining MBH in South Africa.
My hobbies include those of an active nature, which are CrossFit and mountain biking. These activities define who I am and bring me immense joy. There is nothing like spending a Sunday morning out in nature on your bicycle and taking it all in. I also enjoy reading and am quite fond of true crime, thrillers, and heart-warming novels.

I have been in the design industry for about 19 years’, specifically Residential and Service station (Forecourt) design. For MBH I am an Architectural Technician working on Shell Development and Shell Electric Vehicle charging design. My focus being more on Forecourt Design like fuels layouts, Forecourt upgrades and creating space for Electric Vehicle charging bays.
I did a substantial amount of Council submissions and various kinds of council applications that are required before occupancy for residential and restaurants.
I have a certificate for counselling, Play therapy, Trauma counselling and colour therapy. I have a pull towards that as well, I have always been inquisitive in how the human mind works. Although Design trumps everything.
I love spending time with family and friends, braai, games days, beach days, as long as we are together and having fun.

My name is Shelley. I started with MBH Ltd in November 2022 as the CDM Co-ordinator. My daily tasks and responsibilities involve analysing architectural drawings and preparing the Pre-Construction Information Packs (PCIP’s) for MFG prior to going to Tender. I have also prepared Health & Safety Operations & Maintenance Manuals which is the final documentation put together on completion of a site project.
My interests and hobbies are sports related from training at the gym to playing tennis, squash, hockey, watching rugby, soccer, or The Olympics.
I enjoy spending time with my family and close friends. I love the beach and the smell of the ocean or sitting around a fire on a cold winter’s night with good company. And I am an animal lover which is an understatement!

Having joined MBH in 2021, I accumulated valuable knowledge and expertise in both Public and Private sector projects both at the local and international levels. This wide-ranging experience has made me well-versed, proficient, and critically minded in working on a variety of projects.
While my professional life revolves around Architecture, I also enjoy pursuing personal interests in my spare time. One of my passions lies in cars and speed, and as a result, I often attend car shows to indulge in the automotive world. Additionally, I find great satisfaction in undertaking DIY projects around the house.

I am a technically minded and creative thinking person; always thinking of ways to make something better. I am an introvert, but I like to socialize with people I know. Working with my hands to fix things, woodwork and gardening also interest me. If the time permits, I like to travel and see unfamiliar places and meet new people.
