Situated within the prestigious St. George's Hill Estate in Surrey, this project centers around the construction of a new private residence, which was acquired by a discerning private client while still in an incomplete stage. MBH has been appointed as the Lead Architectural Designer, taking on an extensive role that spans RIBA Stage 3 through Stage 6.
Our multifaceted responsibilities encompass various critical aspects of the project. Firstly, we are charged with the development of the design, a process that involves refining and detailing the architectural vision to meet the client's specific requirements. We diligently undertake the planning application process to secure the necessary approvals and permits. Additionally, we ensure that all outstanding planning conditions are met, aligning the project with regulatory and local authority guidelines.
In the pursuit of realizing this architectural vision, we also shoulder the responsibility of obtaining building regulations approval. This process demands a meticulous approach, ensuring that the project complies with the requisite construction standards. Our role extends to seamless coordination with the broader design team, which includes interior designers, fostering a collaborative environment that harmonizes both the architectural and interior aspects of the project.
A noteworthy challenge inherent to this project is its inception as an incomplete structure. Owing to a dearth of comprehensive design information, extensive investigations have been conducted to ascertain the extent of work required for the residence to become fully functional and align with the desired purpose.
At present, the project is in progress, with various stages of work being carried out both externally and internally. MBH collaborates closely with the entire project team, diligently overseeing and coordinating these efforts to ensure that the project is executed successfully. Our commitment to this project is underscored by our dedication to delivering a new, purposeful, and harmonious private residence within the esteemed St. George's Hill Estate.
